Black eyed Peas and The Yellow Chair
20 x 20"
oil on canvas
My favorite thing in this painting is the bowl of black eyed peas.

And I love the individual peas.

So black and white and simple. So fat and full of them- selves. So confident in their individual pea-ness and yet such group unity. Well, ah-hemm, these two seem to be having a bit of a tiff.
The shadows in this one were sort of wandery. They reminded me of telephone wires shadowing themselves across a landscape.
